Since our creation in 2009, we have collaborated with thousands of clients to support them in their skin, laser and aesthetic journeys, whether that be focusing on improving their skin or removing an unwanted tattoo, our team have been supporting them every step of the way. Much like with those who have been through radiotherapy.

In recent months, when speaking with our clients about radiotherapy tattoos, many don’t realise these can actually be removed professionally.

What Are Radiotherapy Spots Or Radiation Tattoos?

Cancer patients who are undergoing radiotherapy treatment will often be tattooed to help align the radiotherapy laser. This typically involves 1 to 5 dots being added to the targeted area, applied in the same way a traditional tattoo would be tattooed, and therefore is permanent.

Every day in the UK over 150 women receive the devastating news that they have breast cancer. These radiotherapy spots are often found at either side of the breast area and/or in the middle of the breast, ranging from pinpoint marks to small dots.

Removing Radiotherapy Spots

We understand that radiotherapy spots can cause distress as it is a permanent reminder of a previous stage in your life. If you’re looking to remove your radiotherapy spots, our team can help. Whether you are choosing to remove your spots to remove any reminders of the past or because you want to move on, whatever the reason, we’re here for you.

Like most skin and laser treatments, the process begins with a 15 minute consultation with one of our experts. During this consultation, we will discuss the likely outcomes, explain the procedure, aftercare and help answer any questions you may have.

After your consultation, we will book you in for your first appointment. To ensure the best results, we would recommend booking a minimum of 5 sessions typically spread 4 to 6 weeks apart. As radiation tattoos are typically smaller, the pain of laser tattoo removal will be minimal.

How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?

We use advanced laser technology to remove tattoos, ensuring we produce fantastic results. The advanced technology works by allowing the light produced by the laser to pass through the skin and break up the tattoo ink into tiny particles. The body then disposes of these fragments via its immune system.

We are one of the very few clinics in Staffordshire to be able to offer Ruby Laser tattoo removal. The Quanta Q-Plus C (Q Switched Nd: YAG & Ruby Laser System) is a medical device offering exceptional results with no scarring! A gradual fading of the tattoo can be seen over a series of weeks and laser tattoo removal sessions.
